Hi there,  I'm an med-surg nurse down here in southeast florida.  For the last 3 1/2 years, since I graduated, I've been working on the same unit for the same company.  Things were going pretty good, I trained and became charge nurse, or I like to say resource nurse.  As I would tell all my floor nurses to come to me if their drowning, thats why iam there.  Long story short, we got a new manager about 5 months ago, boy, shes been riding my ***, for whatever reason, I don't know?  Guess, shes just,  a manhater..oh and she just got her PhD, and were all suppose to address her by doctor.  Well, we had a nurse call off, so I worked the floor,  went to get a scheduled pain pill for my patient, and she had already been taken down to CT.

So anyways, forgot to put it back in pixis, after I got home, found it in my pocket!! I brought it back to work the next day.

Informed Dr. Douchbag of what had happened, brought her the pill in its wrapper.  She says you need to call IPN by the end of the week or I will.

I told her, I don't drink or do drugs, was never my thing.  She says don't matter u still have to call.  UDS came back clean..

WOW!???!

What now??

Well, Dr Douchbag did earn her Doctoral degree, so the title is warranted, regardless of whether you like or respect it. Maybe she is, but you screwed up by not returning the pill to the Pixis, and that puts you in the wrong.  Do some research on what you need to do next and get it done.

Good Luck

Have you considered you did something wrong? Sounds like a personality conflict and maybe this 'manhater' is not playing around.
