California State University San Marcos (CSUSM) ABSN Fall 2022

Nursing Students School Programs

Hey everyone! I haven't seen a thread for the Fall 2022 ABSN applicants yet, so I made one. I submitted my application on January 1st and got my confirmation email on January 4th. So far the only news I've gotten is that my transcripts have been received/my application has been completed. Would love to hear from other applicants and best of luck to all of us ?

Hi, any updates on your application?

Have you received the evaluation worksheet email yet? I submitted mine around the same time but I'm still waiting to hear back.

Kayla,

I received my evaluation on Friday. I submitted my application in late December and sent over my in-progress transcripts early January to finish it out. I don’t have points yet though because of those 2 in-progress classes.

@Kayla Phan I emailed my advisor about a week ago and she told me that the evaluation sheet is still being processed. She said that it takes about 6-8 weeks after they’ve received all the necessary documents to send out the eval sheet, but a friend who applied last year said it took even longer for her ?

Hi everyone! When you applied, under the question "Do you have an RN (registered nurse) license or expect to achieve a RN license?", what did you put? I put no because I am assuming it means independently of the nursing program we are applying for, but can someone confirm?

I was hung up on that, too. I said yes, because I expect to achieve a RN license sometime in the future.

Thank you! I emailed, and they said it's not a big deal what you put. The application will be evaluated the same.

Now the waiting game begins …

Indeed, the long waiting game starts…

Here is my stats:

Last 60 GPA: 3.93

Pre-req GPA: 4.0

TEAS: 84.7%

This will give me 43 points. I was thinking of retaking my TEAS, but I think it’s sufficient? What do you all think?

Thanks for your help!

They breakdown what the evaluation sheet is on their website (see link). Unless you have in-progress courses, you just have to wait to hear whether you are accepted or not.
