California State University, Los Angeles (Cal State LA) MSN Fall 2025

Published

Hi!

Just wanted to start a thread for anyone applying to the MSN program at Cal State LA for Fall 2025. I believe the interviews are Friday, Feb 21 via Zoom, only 10 mins long. Should be getting email notifications this week. Any update, input, etc is welcome! Good Luck to all who applied!

Had my interview on 2/21. Got my letter on 3/13 for MSN FNP.

Has anybody got a confirmation email after you confirmed your interest in going to CSULA? I received an email to make sure you confirm by 3/19 after I confirmed my interest, so I ended up confirming twice just to make sure.

No confirmation email after you accepted the recommendation. I also received the reminder email, but as long as you know you submitted it then you are good, but if in doubt submit again.

I think everybody who was recommended got their letters on 3/13. We won't receive the university acceptance letters until April. But if Patricia A. Chin  School recommended you, it is unlikely that the university would not accept you. The school of nursing is harder than the university LOL

Don't worry. They just want you to confirm so they can accept anybody on their waitlist. If somebody was waitlisted, they would free up spots of  people that were  accepted  but changed their minds. But then you still have to go through the university process, and they will send out acceptance letters probably by mid April. But if you were recommended by the school of nursing, it is 99.999% certain you'll get an acceptance letter from the school

Anyclue, when should we expect a letter from CSULA officially?

I received an email from CSULA on 4/2 with an admission update. It provided me a status with the School of Nursing as "complete (all requirements met)." There is another "Conditional" status where you must complete all requirements by 8/1/25. Gluck to all of you

Good morning, I wanted to let you know I received my official acceptance letter from the school today!

Congratulations! I have seen a few others on Reddit posting about this as well. Did your status on your portal page change to "admitted?" I know someone had mentioned  that although they did not get an email, their status changed to "admitted."

Congratulations, Ron.  I have not received my email from Admissions yet. The last one I got was also on 4/2  from Jennifer at Patricia A. Chin School of Nursing, saying "complete, all requirements met" and that I was recommended by the School of Nursing. I just checked the portal and it says "incomplete."

Mine said incomplete until this morning, but I got my official acceptance letter just after midnight.

And yes, it says admitted now, but I think it only changed this morning.
