California State University, Los Angeles (Cal State LA) MSN Fall 2023

Hi! 

Just wanted to start a thread for anyone applying to the MSN program at Cal State LA for Fall 2023. I believe interviews are Friday Feb 24 via zoom. Should be getting email notifications this week. Any update, input, etc is welcome! Good Luck to all who applied! 

Hi. I received an email as well, did your email say this?

Congratulations! You have been accepted to the Cal State LA, MSN/PM Program!

Just clarifying since I didn't apply to the Post Masters program and the email seems a bit confusing. I'm still surprised and excited to have received an acceptance!!

I got the same email, it is confusing. When you go to accept, you choose either the MSN option or the PM option

Congrats for everyone who received admission invitation! I have a question... Is anyone working and will be going to school? and happens to know what the schedule looks like?

I am trying to get much data as possible before I start so I can be better prepared! Thank you ?

I'm not sure exactly how the schedule works. But, a friend of mine that's currently in the program worked fulltime the first year and 2nd year went partime to complete the clinical hours.

Thank you for the insight! That's exactly what I am planning to do ? I will also update here if I happen to find out more information about this!

Not yet! Just waiting ? Meanwhile I will say check out their grants or scholarship page to see if you can qualify for one of those! I submitted my FAFSA within deadline so hopefully I get something? Also you can ask for information from HR to have your employer pay for it! haha

No, but in the frequently asked questions page it says that 1 week after submitting that form we should receive an official acceptance from Cal State LA with further information.

Do you happen to know what happens if we missed the deadline? It was March 2nd, I just applied today ?. But, from my understanding for Graduate school there really isn't financial aid available such as grants thats only for undergrads...we just have access to certain loans. Good tips! I will definitely be reaching out to my HR for information on financial assistance.

Oh no!! I honestly do not know what would happen if you applied passing the deadline but I am sure they will figure it out something for you! ? Don't worry! and Calstate is offering us much affordable price compared to other schools so it will be much less burden on us ?

anyone know of an online approved refresher health assessment course?? it's been >5years since mine and I don't even know how to do it online....if anyone knows id appreciate it!
