Does anyone know how long the essay should be?

Hi everyone. I received a decline to my application with the reason being that "you did not successfully complete the required prerequisites with a satisfactory grade or GPA needed to be eligible to the nursing program." But, I completed all prerequisites with all A's and only one B (no minus, B in Microbio). My undergrad GPA is 3.49, but all courses that I needed from undergrad were solid As.

Has anyone else been dealing with this? I'm so confused as to how I did not meet the requirements?

Hi! I also am in the same situation. I received a denial this morning with the same reason being that I didn't complete the required pre-reqs with a satisfactory grade, but I received all A's for all the prereq courses at the 4-year university that I attended and had a 3.7 overall GPA. I had called to confirm that my official transcripts were received successfully prior to officially submitting the application, so don't think that's the issue. Unsure if that's just the reason that they send for everyone denied.

I've already committed to a master's entry program as they provided ample scholarship, but I likely send appeal to CSUF tomorrow because it's really annoying that they're stating GPA/prereqs as the reason when it shouldn't be. Truly confused as well, but wanted to let you know I'm on the same boat. Let me know if you end up appealing as well!

Hi, I also received a denial letter but nothing about pre reqs were mentioned. Mine stated

"

Thank you for applying for admission to Cal State Fullerton (CSUF) for the Fall 2025 term. After a thorough evaluation of your application, we regret to inform you that we cannot offer you admission at this time.

All pre-licensure nursing programs in California are impacted and therefore extremely competitive. Each year we receive many applications, with limited spots available. Unfortunately, you were not selected by the School of Nursing. For more information, please contact the department directly at [email protected].

We know that this decision may come to you as a disappointment. However, if you would like to appeal your decision, please visit, Admissions Appeal to submit. The deadline to file an appeal will be 15 days after the date on your denial email. Appeals are based on extenuating circumstances and should include evidence of new and compelling information.

Again, we regret that we cannot offer you admission to Cal State Fullerton, and we encourage you to reapply for a future term."

I filed an appeal and sent over my transcript and proof that my missing prerequisite was in fact, completed. I hope you can do the same thing and that we get a hopeful message back!
