Los Angeles County School of Nursing Fall 2017

U.S.A. California

Published

Hey, is there anyone who applied for Fall 2017 admission to LA County? Have you guys heard any news? has anyone called you? What are your thoughts?

Preregistration is similar to orientation. You'll go over the program requirements and what they expect of you. Youll have a small Q&A session with the nursing director (I suggest you guys to ask many questions). Some questions that were asked during our preregistration that stood out to me were grades, csula collaborative, retention rate, jobs, etc. You can fill out some financial aid stuff too. They also have the uniform company present so you can place your orders.

Do you pay for the uniforms there? Or pay later

You pay on the spot so bring cash/card.

hi guys, i have a question about applying ADN program at LA county school of nursing. I still havent take the TEAS exam yet. Currently the TEAS exam dates are full until end of august. I just finished all pre-requisite courses for ADN at PCC. Can i apply the ADN program without TEAS score at LA county school? How can i apply for ADN? What do they need? Can u guys give me any idea for applying ADN program at LA county of nursing? It is my very first time applying ADN program. You guys suggestions would help me alot. Thank you guys in advance.

I finished PCC fall 2016! And yes you need the TEAS to apply for county. You can check on the la county school of nursing website and on there it will tell you everything you need to know.

Hi. You don't need to have taken the teas in order to apply to most schools. That's including county. It would be nice if you take it before you apply to any school but it's not a requirement. Most schools after you apply invite you to take the teas if you haven't already taken it. That's of course if you meet the criteria like good grades for the science prerequisites. If you already finished your prerequisites which you'll have to in order to apply to most schools, start studying for the teas. If you want to wait for a school to invite you you'll save money on the teas because the school that invites you pays for it. Well, most of the CC's do. I had to wait a whole semester to apply because my micro class was pending meaning the semester wasn't over and they needed my final grade on the transcript. I think county will allow you to have a couple classes pending as long as they're not the sciences. You can check with the school and their website under prospective student. Also, apply everywhere!! It's very competitive and hard to get into most schools. I just got accepted to county this fall after waiting a year!! Good luck!!

You are right but la county doesn't pay for the teas when they invite you, but most other schools do.

Do any current county students have any recommendations on how to study or prep for the dosage quiz? I'm kinda scared for that

I would like to know also! I'm scared about taking any nursing exam! I've heard they're unlike anything we're used to taking before.
