csulb students

soo my orientation is coming up in about a week. they'll be doing a lottery to select whether students will enter the trimester (2 year) or traditional (3 year) program.

i haven't decided which program i prefer (i'm sure they'll allow a few students to switch that day). i was wondering if there are any current/former csulb students who can share their experience or tell me the pros and cons between the programs. thanks

congratulations

I think ive mentioned previously on one of your posts that I will be applying there in 2 semesters. I hope I get in and I hope everything goes well for you.

I would want the trimester just because I am thinking about getting my masters down the road and cutting out years of school is always nice...

thanks! hehe yeah i remember. good luck and i hope everything works out for u. i also remember seeing in some other post that u attended saddleback college...i went there too! i did my general ed there and then transferred to csulb. are u almost finished with your prereqs? i applied to saddleback's nursing program as my second choice, but i didn't get in. i don't like their new selection process. i know this one girl who had only 1 B (the rest A's) and she didn't get in! it's so ridiculous how hard it is to get into their program.

i want to get my masters too (nurse practitioner). i'm leaning towards the trimester prog right now though, but i like some aspects about the traditional prog. for example, trimester u do all your clinicals at long beach memorial and with traditional u get to travel to different hospitals for your clinicals (hoag, choc, etc).

I unfortunately did not meet the pre-reqs at CSULB :( So now, I'm going to vocational school to be a VN.

I wish you much luck and success! Please continue to inform us with your progress! =)
