California NCLEX Passer Transfer Exam to Michigan

Published

good day everyone. i passed the nclex last june 2008, and it expired last june 2011. my cousin wants me to transfer my nclex exam to michigan. i would just like to ask if how can i transfer my nclex exam from california to michigan. i have several questions. i hope you could enlighten me.

1. does michigan require a ssn to have a license?

2. what packet do i fill up, rn application packet or rn endorsement packet?

3. do i let cgfns go through my curriculum before i can transfer my nclex or i can do both at the same time like apply to michigan and have cgfns evaluate my credentials?

4. im from the philippines. how do i get fingerprint card in the mi bon. coz unlike the ca bon. u only request and they'll send it to you. when i read in the mi bon its quite confusing.

hoping for a quick reply. tyvm

Have you checked out the Michigan BON website?

yes maam. i just read it right now. and asked some questions. I dont think they ask for a SSN. which is a good thing. i think i will have go through CES first then after that through the MI BON. i just have one question. does the Fingerprint Card in CA thesame as the Fingerprint card in Michigan? Coz i have extra unused Fingerprint Cards from CA.

Generally they fingerprint cards are not the same but no harm in asking the BON

I also have a question. in the application. it states that " The Michigan Board must also receive a CGNFS language report on English profeciency." Does this mean that i should take the IELTS again? My Ielts is already expired. After taking the Ielts, i should send my results to CGFNS to have an English Profeciency report from them?

Generally reports are supposed to be valid to be accepted! Also if you are applying for a visa screen certificate or planning on applying in the next 2 years they can used English exam for that
