California CNA Exam:Regional Testing Center of CNA v.s. American Red Cross

Published

Hi every one,

I am about to re-take my CNA state exam for the skill part. I did my last skill part and failed on the gait belt transfer because my palms were not up. I did it at American Red Cross in Oakland. Now I am looking to book for re-take the skill portion of the CNA exam. I found there mission college is a regional testing center in Northern California. They seem to have a lot of open slots while American Red Cross has all booked up. I went on line and see that Mission College which is a Regional Testing Center's booklet for the test preparation is a bit different than the one that American Red Cross offered on their web site. To certain extend, they are very different on the points where should be tested. I wonder if any one know how to compare the tests that are offered at the Regional Testing Center v.s. American Red Cross. If I learned at school to be prepared to go for American Red Cross, can I take the CNA test at the Regional Testing Center? I am thinking they can be expecting differently when they test.

I 100% recommend regional testing center.

I just completed my CNA course Dec 2017. It was a 22 day program. Honestly My instructor of the CNA program set us all up for regional. One girl out of the bunch wanted to do ARC, just for the test date was a hassle with them. So of course the girl ended up at regional With us.

The test was a piece of cake for me and all seemed like common sense answers for the written portion. I studied my skills day and night. When we arrived to the testing facility, everyone had the same skill. So we got to watch the person infront of us, to double check that we will do the skill correct. It was a breeze, I was so happy I passed.

All testing faclites are are different so make sure you know all of your skill sets.

As long as you study booklet for your state you will do fine.
