Cal State San Marcos ABSN Fall 2017/Spring 2018

Published

Hello everyone!

I was hoping someone could give me some word of advice/information/encouragement about the admission process to the CSUSM ABSN program.

I applied to the Fall 2017 cohort on June 12 2017 and received my evualation sheet on July 6th with 31 points. My pre core gpa is 3.65, last 60 units gpa is 3.77, and my TEAs score was 77 (lol). I am definitely going to retake the TEAs and study harder to boost my overall points.

My application was way past the priority deadline and I recently found out I wasn't admitted into the program because the cohort was already full and I was just wondering if anyone is on the same boat or has been in a similar situation to me because I am feeling a lot of worry and anxiety right now haha

I talked with the counselor and she told me my application will be reviewed for next Spring, but I am feeling nervous I won't get accepted into that one as well. I was also looking forward to the Fall cohort since it's in Temecula and I live near the satellite campus. /:

Thats pretty much all I have to say for now, so yeah thanks for taking the time to read my post and I hope to hear back from some of you!

I also wanted to ask if anyone is looking into any other nursing programs in SoCal. Thanks!

I am also applying/have applied to the absn program and am hoping to get in for spring 2018. I am just finishing up one of my last classes which is physiology but that ends mid august and my application is already completed minus the last transcript once my class is completed. I currently have an A in the class so if I end up with the A my pre nursing core gpa will be 4.0, last 60 units ~3.8 and teas 94.7% so I'm looking at about 47 points which I hope will guarantee me a spot. Anyone know about when they start sending out acceptances?

I am also applying to the absn programs at cal state fullerton and cal state la though I would prefer san marcos because I live in murrieta and it is so much closer. There is also a program at Concordia University in Irvine though its a private school and will be more expensive even though csusm program is pretty pricey as well.
