CA to VA relocation, need advice please

Hi, I have been working at a SNF (on-call) in Sacramento, CA since July 2011. I have been trying to get a job at a hospital to gain my acute care experience, but California is saturated with new grads. I might have a job offer in a hospital in VA (HR is supposed to contact me per the mgr) but I don't know if I should just go for it! I will be making less than I am now but I would be going for the experience. I have never lived on my own before, and I need advice for how to find an apt near Richmond/Petersburg area, transfer my VA license, ship my car...my nursing classmate also relocated but I can't really depend on her because she is going to be busy working. Any recommendations, advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Marie
