CA NCLEX with ITIN

Hello All,

I am new to this forum. I am on a dependent visa(H4) currently in Virginia.

I am thibking where to start my NCLEX process, NY or CA?

Can I apply for California NCLEX with my ITIN Number? since I don't have SSN. I read somewhere on internet California Board of Nursing has a negotiated agreement allowing ITIN instead of SSN.

Actually, that's also my question. Will I be given my RN license here in California if I can only submit my ITIN?

Once in a while it slips thru, but the enitre reason for requesting the SSN#, if that they want proof that you can legally work in the US, and with the ITIN#, you cannot.

You can apply for the license, and actually be able to sit for the NCLEX exam, but you will not be issued a license until you have a SSN#, and they give you three years to get that.
