Hi All,
I submitted my application for licensure by endorsement to CA BON in August of 2020, had a baby in September and got sidetracked. Sent in my fingerprints and transcripts Dec 1st, these did originally show as deficiencies in Breeze. After multiple emails and literally hours on hold I eventually got through to a human three weeks ago, they found my transcripts which were under my maiden name and got that all sorted out. As of Monday last week my status in Breeze no longer shows any deficiencies but has not been updated. Per their FAQ if there are no deficiencies noted it means your application has not yet been reviewed? But I know mine was reviewed as there were deficiencies noted previously. Any clue what any of this means? I have tried multiple times to call, was on hold for two hours yesterday then just got hung up on. Tried to call back and got the message "we cannot take your call at this time - click". Tried calling again this morning and although it is after 8am the message says they are still closed.
I also applied for a temporary license which seems like it was pointless at this point. What gives? Do I have any hope?! So crazy and frustrating.

Welcome to California's BRN system. I wouldn't worry about the application status showing on the website. If you were able to to talk to someone who found your transcript, then someone is working on your case. However, per California's speed, three weeks is still too soon to even have a response...it's just that slow here for those endorsing a license (their website says 10-12 weeks but I've heard more like 12 as average). That's the biggest obstacle to hiring someone from out of state.

Thanks for the encouragement. After only 1 hour on hold this morning I actually just got off the phone with the BON. They did confirm everything has been received and said to give it until March 5th for processing before calling back for another update. So hopefully it's done sometime in the next month...

Great, so that fits with their projection of processing time since you sent the application Dec 1st. Hopefully, that's the date you see on the website that you have a license.

Hello Crimson,
I am trying to do a license by endorsement from PA but I am concerned about the clinical hours in my BSN program - only 675. Do you know, by any chance, the amount of clinical hours that you completed in your nursing program? I am trying to see if the endorsement process for US nurses is such that it makes no sense I even apply and tell everyone I am moving back to LA.

Have you received your license yet? I just applied today, just waiting on the livescan forms to be emailed to me and send in my transcripts. I am worried that because my maiden name was used during school that the BRN will lose them. Should I change my name with the school before requesting transcripts? Thanks!

Just updating. I got my RN license number 4 weeks after applying online. Did the livescan in CA last week and the license number showed up the next day.
