I dont plan on working as a CNA anytime soon. So my question is how long can you NOT work and still have a valid lisence ?How many months.... years? And when will i need to take CEUS? Thank you in advance

It depends on your state. I think in most cases you have to work at least 8 hours a year and yes, you do have to take your CEUs.

Your renewal must be paid every two years. Within that two year time frame you must obtain 24 CEUs, (12 each year), and work in a facility, taking care of residents, for pay. The renewal application does not state how long you have to be employed. Do an internet search for "CA CNA certificate renewal" and the fill-in form will come up. Everything you need to know is printed on the form.
