Has anyone attended C-N-A Training, Inc., 6060 S. Orange Ave. 32809 407-888-1191 Orlando, FL? If so, please share your experience. I am confused as to how they can train me to pass the state exam in one weekend. Other schools are 5 to 6 mos. Also, were you able to get a job after you finished there? Are shots required before you start work. I would like to get certified asap -- I need to start working. Anyone doing private duty as a CNA?

Thanks!

Have you tried this place? If so how was it?

Florida allows you to sit for the CNA exam without schooling - so what that program does is a crash course to give you the basic training needed to pass the test, under the option of challenging the exam.

Specializes in SNU/SNF/MedSurg, SPCU Ortho/Neuro/Spine.

you can download the CNA prep-review test!'

to be honest with you, it is not hard! I have done it in may and passed it

I have seen an ad on craigslist for a lady that has a "school" at Ashley Park in Metrowest. I thought about doing it. Also if you look at the Florida boards site you can see that the skills are fairly simple for a cna. You can even purchase dvds to watch, practice the skills at home, then challenge it. I still want to do it, I just don't have the money right now (c previous thread of mine! LOL)

Anyway, like CSantos said it can be done! I will look for links for the one in Ashley Park for you and post momentarily, she even has a myspace page.

GOOD LUCK!

I know the area where she is and the office spaces are pretty nice and new. I know that doesnt mean anything, but it could be a nice indicator.

Yes, I went there for there 4 hour refresher course a week before my test. They were great! It gave me the chance to get familiar with the area I was testing in. Also, they went over every single skill and gave everyone the opportunity to do it for themselves also. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. They also give you a book as well going over every skill in detail, and tons of review questions. If you plan on testing there, then I would train there. They are great!

I know a school in Lake Mary that is great. The stuff is very professional, classes are small and you are allowed to practice as much as you need and you can seat in extra classes at no extra charge. Instructors give a very good job making sure students understand every skill. The price is affordable and the class is very effective. It is conveniently located close to I-4. The name of the school is CNA KWIK TRACK

Specializes in Alzheimers, Geriatrics, phys. challenege.

CNA Training Inc in Orlando is awesome. I took their "refresher" and gained valuable skills needed to challenge the CNA exam. The Manager/Instructor, Darla, is very nice and very good at what she does. She will go over every skill in detail with you. They have a nearly perfect pass rate.

I got my CNA certification in Idaho two years ago. As I chose to work as a nanny instead of at a hospital or care facility, it is about to expire. I wish to take the test again here in Florida, but I have absolutely no idea how to go about that. Is this a good program for a refreshed course? And if so do they have a website where I could get more info. Also, some people mentioned challenging the test. How do you do that? I still have all of my old notes and skills, so it would be fairly easy for me to pass the test again.
