Anyone have any advice on how I can move forward? I'm really bummed out that I cannot retake gen chem because I got a passing grade. I really wanted to transfer to a competitive university like UCLA. I haven't taken microbio or anatomy. Could my C possibly be ignored if I pass A&P and Micro with an A+? I don't really know what to do.
Maybe nursing isn't for me. My overall GPA is also really low. A 3.3 assuming I'll pass ANAT and MICRO with flying colors.

You can't take it to replace the current C, but you can absolutely retake a course to show that you can make an A. For example, schools normally have some sort of cutoff with your science courses. It's usually good for 5 years. So think about it like this, if the classes expire in 5 years, then you can't retake them to make them current because you passed? see what I'm saying?
If you made a C then just make sure that you make A's in the next courses and nothing less. Anything is possible, there are a lot of factors considered when selecting students, so you can get in with lower than avg grades. You just want to stand out, so work your butt off and make A's from now on.

You can certainly retake Chemistry to get a higher grade. Chemistry has been the downfall of many pre-med and pre-nursing students.
As for transferring to a competitive school like UCLA, you must have excellent grades. The school may consider other factors, if you have some to your benefit.
You can certainly apply to UCLA, but I suggest you focus your energies on applying to some schools that you have a good chance of getting in to. There are a lot of good schools in California. One "stretch" school like UCLA is fine, but then apply to 3 or 4 schools where you have a really good chance of getting in.
Good luck.
