Buying or Renting Books?

Nursing Students Chamberlain College

Well, I kind of wanted to start this topic to see what other people's opinions are on if renting textbooks is the way to go or buying all of the textbooks new/used or even half and half. What works best? Also, what sites do you experience Nursing book buyers out there have to help us newbies.

Thanks!

I only buy the books that I want to keep after nursing school, the rest I rent. The best site I found is Cheap Textbooks - Price Compare College Textbooks - Used, New, Rental & eTextbooks It is a search engine for textbook rental and purchase, you don't actualy buy books from them. That way you don't need to go to multiple websites to look up prices.

Purchasing books would have cost me $500. My semester rental cost $100. Rental is cheaper than buying the book and then selling it at the end of the semester. Only buy books that you want to keep.
