I really don't want to quit my current job working in corrections at CCA. I would rather stay, but change my status from FT employee to PT. We are very short staffed as it is on night shift. This way I won't leave the nurses I work with completely out to dry. I'm leaving because I'm unhappy with scheduling. I'm having to work five 8 hour nights a week (because another FT night employee left) and this is way to hard on my body!
The problem is that I've been told by my nurse manager that they (my agency) probably won't approve me to do this and I'll probably have to put in my notice to quit. In my 2 weeks notice letter, is it ok to write that I'm quitting but more than willing to stay on to continue helping out per diem. Will this make a difference. I'd hate to lose this job. It's been a good experience, it's just my schedule is killing me.
