BSN with a PhD in Public health

Published

I am a BSN holder with a PhD in Public health. Please advice me. I need a job far from bedside nursing. I have 8 years experience as a CNA (nursing assistant) and just 3 months as RN.

I assume you already have been looking at nursing positions at health departments. Did you have a community health clinical-- is that place or type of nursing appealing to you? Also, how far out of the public health degreen are you? Can you find something through your connections with that? In my experience, the public health department positions go to former students/interns. You may need to use your connections. There are also community health program coordinators and university positions but they won't pay as well.
