BSN in 10 Law

I found out this past weekend that I have been accepted into the nursing program I applied for and I'm beyond thrilled.

This morning I came across an article on my phone stating a law was passed in 2017 requiring all nurses who completed an ADN in New York State must complete their BSN within 10 years to maintain their licensure.

Does this mean if I will be forced to get a BSN and if I choose not to get my BSN I would lose my license.
