Hi,Thanks for the reply. Yes, I am an RN in the US. Obtained my initial degree (2yr Associates Degree) in the US. Wondering if there is any difference between the US and UK bachelors degree.
Yes the UK degree is a 3 year degree, if your initial qualification is a 2 year degree you may well have problems getting registered with the NMC. This will be your first port of call.
Look at the website http://www.nmc-uk.org and look at what thier requirements are for registration here.
Sharrie,
Thanks for the responses. I probably didn't make the original post real clear. I am not wanting to register with the NMC. I have a 2 year degree from the US also I am 2 classes away from my bachelors degree. I am taking the bachelors through a UK university. My question is, is the BSc Nursing from the UK equivalent to the BSN in the US? More out of curiosity, I guess.

ahh now I get you, and I really don't know, I suppose you would have to take the transcripts to your BON to get them evaluated the same as a UK nurse would have to if wanting to work in the US

Hi all,
Maybe somone can answer my question about how to sign and also have printed on ID badges.
I have 2 classes left before I obtain my BSc Nursing from the UK. Is this the same as the BSN in the US? :typing
How do I sign the title after my name in the US? (I live here now but chose to obtain my undergrad and then next year my graduate degree from the UK for family reasons).
Thanks for any help
