hello, I received my bachelor's degree in biology but graduated with a 2.6 due to being in an abusive relationship during that time. I went back to school and got my ADN with a 3.5 GPA and have been working as an RN for 2 years, I started taking courses working towards my BSN and have a 3.9 GPA so far. I am thinking of applying to NP school and I'm confident I can do well but I'm afraid I won't be admitted anywhere due to my low GPA in undergrad.. any advice on how I can better my chances? some schools don't require a BSN, just an RN license and a non nursing bachelor's degree, would I need to finish my BSN or would my nursing GPA kind of offset that bad GPA?

You are fine. The BSN and NP programs are going to place the most weight on your ADN coursework and BSN coursework GPA, which is good. Your RN work experience is also a strength. When applying for an NP Program, you can address your initial poor GPA in undergrad by saying something like, "Due to personal circumstances, my initial undergrad GPA did not reflect my true abilities. My most recent coursework indicates my academic abilities" or something like that.
Good luck!
