Anyone Applying to the May 2017 program? I wanted to get into the January program but I was missing a math class and couldn't complete it in time for the January program.
@sicilib can you specify what prerequisites they take in consideration. Thanks
Hi guys!! I will be applying to the May termand I did take the HESIi applied previously for the fall term and did not get in. I am retaking a class and will end with a hopeful 3.0. I pray I get in this semester!
I'm excited!!:)
as long as you get over a 75 in each section they're good lol
thats all they care about.
i hope so too! good luck!
Whats your gpa??
I'm terrified of the Hesi LOL. If i get a decent overall score and one section with 75, I'm going to settle for that. I'm Ok with the Pre req GPA. Hope to be classmates soon
To be honest grades don't mean anything to me, but unfortunately in this society we are treated like numbers, we all go thru hard times and nobody knows the story behind good or bad grades, we change majors, we change schools, what matter is that we have the potential and passion for a career, do not get discourage guys, we can all make this happens, keep your positive thoughts, affirmations, whatever work for you, but we all got this. I should do the Hesi and get that over with, but I feel like I have to study a bit more
then you are good. that's what they look at. You should have no problem being accepted
i agree with you a 120% !! I hate that we are looked at by that and not our passion and drive for it. I myself do not show well on paper as far as grades,i'm decent but not a all A student, but my hands on work is not comparable. I love patient contact i love helping it makes my heart happy, but we don't get graded on that sadly. i will push through regardless and i will become a nurse with out a doubt, i just hope this is my time, i have been through so many obstacles. We all got this!

I read this from Jan 2017, I wanted to be sure if it's correct:
To calculate your pre-req GPA (grades from ENC1101, BSC2085, BSC2085L, BSC2086 and BSC2086L), you can use the following:
For 3 credit classes:
A = 12 points
B = 9 points
C = 6 points
For 1 credit classes (LABS):
A = 4 points
B = 3 points
C = 2 points
Add up the total points and divide by 11. This is your pre-req GPA. Your pre-req GPA DOES NOT show on your degree audit.
Based on your pre-req GPA, the points are awarded as follows:
1 point = 2.5
2 points = 2.6]
3 points = 2.7
4 points = 2.8
5 points = 2.9
6 points = 3.0
7 points = 3.1
8 points = 3.2
9 points = 3.3
10 points = 3.4
11 points = 3.5
12 points = 3.6
13 points = 3.7
14 points = 3.8
15 points = 3.9
16 points = 4.0
