Broward College August 2016 RN Program

Published

Hello everyone, I'm starting this thread for everyone who will be applying to Broward College RN program in August of 2016.

I have downloaded the app, it is very useful. I am currently enrolled in Anatomy & Physiology II and it ends in 2 weeks. I have to transfer my grades to BCC and take the HESI. I can't wait to officially apply. Is anyone as excited as I am?

Hey guys and gals it is definitely may 20 is the last day to apply to the August term and f.y.i. if you call south they will still say it's the 15 if you don't know about the new deadline but if you do they will confirm the new deadline if you know about it already......( I know right it sounds crazy but it is what it is ) I've been to both campus( central & south) to confirm this information.

God bless everyone on this new adventure we are about to embark on

Today is the official last day to turn in your applications to begin this Fall.bi turned in my application already. Are you al excited yet?

hi so i applied in march and am waiting myself for a result. now my only concern is gpa and what courses they take into accountability. when i left my prior school my gpa was 2.82, and bc accum is 2.49 and now im freaking out because you need a 2.5. i passed my hesi with flying colors, over the 83 percent tile.

my gpa is not as high as most of you so im worried about it.

my question is how do you calculate the points you are referring to, and should i be worried about my gpa

i even spoke to a nursing adviser before i applied and i told her my grades based off the classes she said are important and she said i should have no problem, but the gpa thing is stressing me out.

so if i got:

B in a&p1 and lab

c in a&p2 and lab

english: C

micro and lab: C

college alegbra: A

so what is it calculated?

answers please lol

This is what HS emailed me a few months back.

"For the 3 credit lecture classes A=12, B=9, C=6 and for the 1 credit lab courses A=4, B=3, C=2. Divided by 11 credits.

So you calculate your gpa using enc, a&p1 and lab, a&p2 and lab.

Lab courses are 1 credit courses.

Good luck!

i dont think thats accurate

that doesnnt add up to my gpa

even so wouldnt they make sure you qualify with gpa, hesi and etc before even applying?

That was provided to me from the health science department. When they didn't give me the points I thought I were to receive, I reached out to them and they broke it down for me.

The best would be to email them so they can give you a straight answer.

i think ill wait for a decison lol, nicole told me the first two weeks of june..

ill just pray i get in fornow
