Hi everyone! I was looking for a Brookhaven College nursing forum for Spring 2023 applicants, but I couldn't find one, so I decided to start it myself. I hope we can you this to discuss how we're all feeling and answer any questions each other may have. I am so nervous and excited!

Hello, I’m glad you made this forum! I was looking for one too. I will be applying to dcccd nursing program this Spring…. If you don’t me asking, how many points are you applying with?…I only have 19 and I scored an overall 82% on the HESI exam, but I’m scheduled to retake so I can score higher. I really hope I get in…
Hi! Not sure if I did my calculations right but I think with my HESI points I’m at a 43 right now. I spoke to 2 different people about this. One who works at Brookhaven said the high 30s is a good range but my success coach said not to apply without a 45!! I’m terrified LOL

Yikes! 45? I sure hope that's not true. I think I have 35 or 36 points. I don't know if my PHIL 2306 class counts. I took it before I found out that they had changed the program. I had to completely rearrange my schedule for the Summer semester. Thanks for making this by the way. I'm so nervous. Has anyone sent in their application yet? If so, I have some questions about it.

I haven't sent mine in yet! Waiting to submit my flu shot records to SurScan. And I'm also talking to advising about transfer credit. I really hope there isn't anything about 45 being a cutoff!

You got your flu shot? Where did you get it? I can't seem to find anyone who has any available. I'm almost ready to turn in my application, but I still haven't received the link to send it to. I've watched the information session a couple of times in the past week and a half and recorded my attendance both times and still have not received anything. I'm so frustrated.

Yeah they had flu shots at my Walgreens. I haven’t even looked into where to send the application ? I thought we had to email it somewhere but on facebook I’m hearing people say there’s like a course link type of thing?

Yes, they are supposed to send you a link to send your application packet. Is there a facebook group for others who are applying to the Spring 2023 program? What's the name of the group?

Oh okay I think you have to email your info to the email in the photo I attached and then they add you to this “course” where you can upload everything. There isn’t a facebook group for Spring 2023 but there’s a Center for Allied Health and Nursing group that’s really helpful!

OMG! Thank you for this! I haven't seen this before. Where did you get it? This is different from what I was told back in April.

I got this in that facebook group. But, I did realize that it still doesn’t give you access to the actual application form so I did the info session and emailed the allied health admissions and they sent the form to me

Thank you so much for telling me about the facebook group. I don't know how I'd get this all done if you hadn't. I've got my application turned in and everything. I'm so nervous but excited! I do have one question, though. Do you know if there is a ranking sheet we have to fill out or anything? I have the old Brookhaven ranking points sheet (my sister went to nursing school at Brookhaven and it's what she used) and I was just wondering if there was an updated one that we would need to turn in?
