I just got accepted into brookdale community college in lincroft nursing program I start this January the 22 2014 anyone recently graduate that can give me a lot of info about it and what to expect and how you did going through it!?!??!
You dont have to have any pre reqs done but you do need a few basic classes like english and psych to take the hesi. When you take the hesi you are placed on the wait list. After you pass the hesi you attend an info session they are only two a year one in fall one in the spring.. The wait list is about two semesters for day, one for night. There isnt a wait for online. I am starting online next week and eving lab on wed. You have to have your home health aide or cna or pca before you can start the program. No job placement but you do clinicals at several locations. Best bet i tonget hired at a hospital prior to graduation. Good luck.
Hi I had some questions , I'm an lpn I took the hesi and went to the info session . I read in a previous pos that the online program for the transition started right away and there wasn't any wait list ? Also what book can I use for the exam for the final hesi to try to get placed in nursing 261. How was the program any pointer ?

Hey everyone! A few weeks ago I decided I wanted to go back to school to become a nurse. I chose brookdale's program because I am already familiar with the school since I received my associates in Journalism from there. I understand the nursing program there is very intense and there is usually a waiting list to get in. I can't find many of the questions I have so I figured I would come on here and asked people who have been through the program or are going through it now.
1. I have 4 pre-reqs to complete before I can take the program. Do those need to be completed before being placed on the list?
2. What type of nurse will you be coming out of the program? (RN, LPN?)
3. Do they assist with job placement? Or Do you even do rotations while in the program?
Thanks so much!
