I never ended up doing my pre-req's last year, which I am kicking myself for not doing. I am getting them done this year to apply for 2026. I only need to retake AP1 because it just expired, and then I need to take chem, stats, and micro if I want to get it out of the way. I did take micro at MCPHS but it doesn't transfer over which is a bummer. I am also considering applying to CCRI because they have two start dates whereas BCC is only once a year. Did you apply for 2025? I am worried due to how competitive BCC is for nursing, and now with free tuition, it will probably be even harder.
I applied for 2025,
That was my concern as well about the free college, which is why I switched from the RIC BSN program to BCC, so I can absolutely let you know how it goes. I looked into Massasoit, Mass Bay, and Quinsigamond as well and they are all seemingly easier to get into than BCC. I might still apply to QCC and MCC as backups. QCC is similar requirements but a later date, MCC does a points system so you can have a 90 TEAS score but be missing prerequisites and still get in.
if you do stay at BCC, for AP1 look for Katie Ruggieri, it was very simple and even though not intended, felt more like a crash course than a complete redo. Kelemu Woldegiorgis was great for Chem in my opinion, a lot of other students complained because there was a language barrier, but all his stuff is essentially open book, and as long as you appear engaged in labs and participate and show up it's an easy grade. He also appreciates when people stay behind to clean up, though it's not required or graded haha.
if you haven't done your TEAS I can also send you some resources I used as well!
I have heard ~whispers~ with the free college BCC may do a second start date cohort in the coming years but who knows how true that is. Definitely don't feel burdened by how difficult it is to get in, the timing worked out for me but it wasn't without a ton of stress and anxiety, and I think while BCC produces great nurses and has great NCLEX pass rates, I really do think if you are a good person and have that instinctual pull to help others, you will be successful and help others no matter what program you do.
Do you know if we get any sort of notification that our application has been "received"? I keep getting hit with a wave of anxiety that something is missing from my application and I have no way to know.

Manifesting good news for both of us!

From what I heard in other threads , people with incomplete applications will get an email saying they are minimum qualify. I actually emailed them because I transfer to Bristol and realized they didn't transfer my Chemistry credit and it's part of the application.

Good to know! Did you get the email about them adding a part time program? There is an info session tonight I think I will attend to get more info. Priority applicants have the option to switch their preference by feb 14th

How did it go? I wasn't able to attend. Did they discuss graduation dates? Or other new info?

It went well ! The 2026 part time would graduate 2028 and attend the Spring pinning but you have to finish a Summer class to officially sit for the NCLEX.
they are divide the clinicals and courses so it's less credit per semester so it's an easier load.
there another meeting I believe you can still attend.

Is anyone here applying for the nursing program at BCC for next fall (2025)? I want to apply for the eHealth program. I was looking over requirements and read that your A&P is only good for five years and I took mine in the fall of 2019-- it would be a bummer to have to take that again. I wonder if they would accept A&P II? I took that in 2020. My algebra is from 2013, and I would have to take chemistry as well. I have all other courses taken, except for history 111-112. I took history 113-114-- I wish they would accept that instead!! Oh, yes, and stats. I have a total of 65 credits between BCC and MCPHS. If you've graduated from, or are currently in the ehealth nursing program at BCC, I would love to connect!
