Brenau v. GPC

Published

Does anyone know who has a better Nursing Program? I was accepted to both Brenau and Perimeter's Nursing Programs for Fall 2009 and I'm trying to determine which one is better. I have read some bad things about Perimeter, but I didn't know if it has gotten any better. Any input would be great!

I am in the GPC nursing program and I think it has probably changed over the years. It is tough but they offer alot of help and if you are determined you will make it through... As for the question, which is better, I'm sure most will probably say Brenau, but unless someone has went to both programs nobody really knows.

The good thing about Brenau is the fact that you will come out with a BSN and the good thing about GPC is you will come out without all the debt (I've heard Brenau is crazy expensive).

Good luck either way! And Congratulations!

GPC had a 100% NCLEX pass rate - what does Brenau have?

You will come out with a RN either way...

Thanks for the input! If you don't mind me asking...which campus do you attend? If I go to Perimeter, I would be going to the Lawrencille campus but I didn't know how often I would have to drive to Clarkston.

Brenau's NCLEX scores for 2006 was 98% and for 2007 it was 77%.

Specializes in ER.

Where did you find that info? Thanks!!!

Specializes in Cardiac Step-down Unit.

I think you should pick the program based on how far you want to go in your nursing career. If you just want to have your RN and you do not want to further your education or role then it doesn't matter. However if you wanted a Masters, or enter management then go for your BSN. Every program is hard; it is what you put into it that will determine your success!!

Congrats!! Be proud that you have a choice!!
