Hi everyone! I am new here and just want to try to make some connections with fellow students. I have been accepted into the full time BSN at Brenau University starting this August! I can't wait to get started! I also completed a CNA course Spring semester in addition to my Brenau classes and am looking for a job as a CNA or PCT. No luck yet but I would appreciate any suggestions as to where to apply. I would love to get a position at a hospital and have applied to MANY but with no takers yet. I have been out of the workforce for almost two years and just been concentrating on classes and mommy duties. I hope that will not hurt my chances. I am glad tha I found this website, I think it will be a great tool and place for support!

Hi Tanya! Thanks for the reply. I have been a student at Brenau and really like it. I transferred from Georgia Perimeter and had planned on being a part time nursing student. However, I changed my mind and now will be a full time student. The part time program starts in January and the full time program will start summer of 2011. Right now it starts fall semester but they are planning on changing the start time. They did not interview me and I don't think it is standard procedure to interview for the program. I know that selection is based on entrance test scores and overall GPA as well as how many hours have been taken at Brenau. I feel very fortunate to have been accepted because I know they get so many applications each year. I have taken a job as a CNA in Home Healthcare. I like it so far and it will be great experience on my resume. I will continue to work during the nursing program as long as I can. Good luck to you! (Funny we have the same name different spelling)
