Members are discussing the process of applying for licensure in California by endorsement. They are sharing updates on their application statuses, such as "pending - open," and seeking clarification on what these statuses mean in terms of the review process. Some members are also experiencing issues with their applications being marked as "expired" prematurely and are seeking advice on how to resolve these issues by contacting the California Board of Nursing.
I'm in the process of applying for licensure in CA by endorsement.
- May 5: Application submitted in person
- May 11: Check cashed
- May 12: Got email to activate Breeze account
My Breeze status originally said "pending - missing education history." (When I went to the office, the woman at the window explained that doesn't mean they never got your transcripts. Instead it usually means a human just hasn't verified that all the coursework has been completed.)
Recently (not sure exactly when), my Breeze status changed to "pending - open."
- Does this mean my file is actually being reviewed even though the website says they're currently working on applications received Match 1-15?
- How soon after this status change have people received their licenses or been told something's missing or there's a problem with the application?

Hey! Sorry to pile on, but I also have this issue (applied 5/15, now says it's expired), any chance you've been able to figure it out?

I was able to resolve it by calling the CA BON, you need to call them the minute they open in the morning and leave a call back number so they'll call you in the afternoon. They're super helpful when you finally reach them! Just have all your info ready. I had to call them to resolve issues like 3-4x, but they always were helpful :) Good luck with everything!!
