Brazilian nurses in US

I have a Brazilian friend, professional nurse, that would like to study and/or work in Florida for a year..... how would she go about getting visa? license? green card? any help would be appreciated.

She will need to take the CGFNS exam and pass the series of English exams to qualify for the Visa Screen. Process will take about a year if she hasn't applied for any of it yet. CGFNS is only given three times per year. The earliest that she would be able to take the exam is July, then wait two months for her scores, etc. Her English skills now have to be comparable to a native speaker.
