Hello Everyone.

Wanted to know if there were any Brandman students in the ABSN program that is Online/Hybrid. I saw San Diego has a program. I live in Riverside but work in LA area so I am curious as to how the classes play out. Is it workable for me to attend there. It doesn't really explain it on the website how the classes work.

Any help would be appreciated.

It is a hybrid program consisting online and in class. Clinicals would be down in San Diego. Application deadline is October 30 for January. I am waiting to hear if I am accepted.

• Priority application deadline for the Spring 1, 2020 admission is October 30, 2019.

• Final completed application deadline for Spring 1, 2020 admission is December 1, 2019.

• Priority application deadline for Summer 1, 2020 admission is March 15, 2020

• Final completed application deadline for Summer 1, 2020 admission is May 15, 2020

I also have the list of prerequisite course they require for the nursing program as well.

I talked to a Rep and it won't work out for me. Even though it is hybrid. They still do not want you to work or you can only work part time. I can't drop to part time because I am active duty military.

Oh Well. I will keep looking. Maybe LVN will be the better option for me.

Awe, thank you for your service.

LVN programs (from experience) are just a rigorous and require part time to full time days and are not hybrid. Good luck ?

Thank you.

I do know that part. There are no hybrid LVN programs I know of but they have evening and weekend programs that allow you to be able to work. As much as I want to go for my BSN because I have a bachelors and science done, I may be stuck with doing LVN first.

I may just do the training for LPN in the Army since they have the training for it and get my license that way and just go up from there. At least I will still be active duty while I train. No income loss.

That’s amazing if the military offers that, go for it.

Yes. Its a year away from home but I will try it.

I just need to study and retake my ASVAB to boost my score to the required scores.

I applied for the Summer 2020 semester back in August, still waiting to hear back. Anybody else waiting on a response for Summer 2020 term?

@omarrr_h

I applied for the Spring Jan 2020 and was denied. They forwarded my app for Summer 2020 and I have not heard back. Good luck

@619nurse

sorry to hear that, hope the next response is a better one. How were your grades for Anatomy, Physiology and Microbiology? If you don't mind me asking.

@619nurse Yes, I am interested as well if you are willing to share ??

@Veronika

I have straight A’s in micro, A&P and I am currently a LVN.
He said I was denied because I did not have enough of other pre req courses completed. A lot of students are coming in with most of all the courses required for the bachelors done. Like the ENGU literacy courses etc. (the ones they usually have you do while you are in the program). Hope this makes sense.

He advises for me to complete these at a community college and bring them in if I can to increase my chances.
