Hi,
I'm in my early 30's and my background experience is primarily ER. I'm a newly hired hospital nurse educator looking for some guidance from all you veteran educators. I'm hoping that you could share some resources regarding maintaining rn competences, new grad programs and tips on organization for this type of position. Are there any great written forms or websites that I should be aware of ? Lets chat :rotfl:

NNSDO ... The National Nursing Staff Development Organization. They have an excellent journal, "The Journal for Nurses in Staff Development," a website, conferences, literature on how to get started in staff development, etc. ---- all pretty good resources.
I'd recommend starting by:
1. Visiting their website
2. Going to your closest nursing library and browsing through old copies of their journal
3. Meeting with other nurses in your hospital (and/or town) who have similar jobs.
