Hello all!
I recently just got accepted to University of Vermont into the Clinical Nurse Leader Masters program. My top choice was originally Northeastern University in Boston, which is an Accelerated Bachelors program. I am torn between the locations, each providing a great education. While Vermont is a beautiful location, they only have 3 clinical sites but is widely known for their great nursing school. Boston on the other hand has a variety of clinical sites and is a great city overall with a grand opportunity for growth. My goal has always been to get my masters but I have been told I can always go back later. I am moving from CA so both are a little foreign to me, If anyone has advice or any experience with each university it would be greatly appreciated!

Go to Boston. I have worked and lived in both places and Boston is the medical meca for New England. You will be exposed to so much more current healthcare information in a great city to explore. Vermont is so rural and places are so far away that it limits your ability to grow. Best of luck to you.

Fully agree with Sandy, Vermont is a super hard place to live weather wise and expense wise. It's not even a relatively cheap place to live and winter's can be far from beautiful (unless you are REALLY into winter). Housing is also difficult to come by.
Also, unless you are at Dartmouth Hitchcock then you are really going to be limited in your opportunity for growth.
As a Vermont transplant from Massachusetts originally, go to Boston. Don't think twice!
