  1. Fully agree with Sandy, Vermont is a super hard place to live weather wise and expense wise. It's not even a relatively cheap place to live and winter's can be far from beautiful (unless you are REALLY into winter). Housing is also difficult to come by. Also, unless you are at Dartmouth Hitchcock then you are really going to be limited in your opportunity for growth. As a Vermont transplant from Massachusetts originally, go to Boston. Don't think twice!
  2. Hi all! I found out I got into VTC's PN program with direct progression to an associate's degree a couple weeks ago. I was pulled off the waitlist so I am floored still. I swore I was going to have to reapply next year (cue happy tears)! Anyway, I am looking to see if anyone has advice for VTC's nursing program, I know it is the most well-respected nursing program in the state. So if anyone is going to be on this journey with me or just has general advice to a new nursing student, I would be forever grateful for a reply!
  3. If it makes you feel better, I am currently waitlisted from the program I applied to with a 4.0 and all but one of my pre-reqs done! They tell you it will be competitive, but this is on a whole other level.. I wish you all the best, try to focus on the season of life that you are in right now, and know that there are many more people struggling to get in, just like you. We will all make it there, in our own time.
