My partner and I are both healthcare professionals, I'm a family NP and my partner is a pharmacist, We have started a new home care company for a few reasons but mostly because after my experience as a care coordinator / case manager and senior center volunteer and his recent experience with his mom passing away and the care she received... we felt we could fill a gap and improve care for people in need.
That being said we are NOT professional home care people.. that is both a blessing and a curse. We are not set in our ways and feel as we "know it all" but this in-experience makes a difficult learning curve. We have hired a company to help us with the policies and procedures to work through our medicare certification.. but what we lack is true "boots on the ground" experience.
Getting our first 10 patients, Oasis etc etc... is a daunting task so experienced advice is always welcome!
ANY and all feedback is greatly appreciated and if you happen to live in our area (North Suburbs of Boston) PLEASE feel free to reach out to us directly... we would love to hear from you. We know everyone is busy and has their priorities so any time or guidance you would like to pass along, as I said, is greatly appreciated.
