Bonus from a surgeon, anybody?

Has anybody ever gotten a gift/bonus from a surgeon you work with alot?

Just curious to see how common this is, since I just started in the or. Not that I expect anything........:uhoh3:

Working for 3 surgeons in a 500 bed hospital I have always been given some sort of compensation personally donated from them. The hospital employs us both but these men were classy enough to give me either a generous cash bonus or gift card that came out of their own pocket. (That might have had something to do with their wives too!)
