Board of Nursing site shows "Ready Issue"

Published

I just took the NCLEX yesterday (Monday) in Iowa. As I am sure you ALL know the feeling I am FREAKING out not knowing the results. I am the last one to test in my classmates, all of which have passed. I have anxiety disorder on top of this so I am a wreck. The test in my opinion went HORRIBLE. I was getting diseases that we never went over in class or I never saw in my books. I did the Pearson Vue trick which I know is not 100% reliable but I needed something to ease my mind A LITTLE and I got the "good pop up." That eased my mind for a bit enough to sleep last night. Today on the Iowa Board of Nursing my application status reads "Ready Issue" does anyone know what this may mean? I read one article where it stated thats what it read when she passed and when she failed it ready "re-exam." Just hoping to put my mind at ease a little bit here. Thank you in advance. Also, I DO know the only sure fire way to know is to have a license number-- but as you all know we go to drastic measures in this 48 hour wait :)

Did you find out what "ready issue" meant? I'm on the exact same boat! I took my NCLEX on Monday. I was the last one from my class and everyone else has passed. My computer shut off at 85 and I felt like I failed. I even cried the whole way home! I checked the board of nursing website and my status says "ready issue." I'm hoping that means I passed!

Did either of you figure out what ready to issue means? I know this is a post to something that was started a year ago but just wondering if there was any update?

Did u ever get the answer I tested yesterday and have the same status now on my application

Okay...I will happily answer this 💛 I took my test on a Monday in Iowa at 11 AM. I took 75 questions and the test shut off. The next morning (Tues.) the IBON website showed "Ready Issue". Anxious, scared, not sleeping I searched and found few answers. Then finally Wednesday around 3 PM I praised God when they issued my license. So yes, I believe "Ready Issue" is positive. All my friends whose status also changed to this had licenses issued shortly thereafter. Lastly, some students had licenses issued between 24-50 hours after the test so don't get too nervous if you don't hear something back immediately. Good luck if you are ready this😊Prayers of encouragement for you.

Hi! I was wondering if anyone else can confirm this? I’m in the same boat right now

It is probably a fail-safe for the BON. The computer says "Ready Issue" meaning that all the requirements have been met, but needs a human to verify before issuing the license. They might have had an issue in the past that the computer posted an active license and there was an issue that the person shouldn't have been issued a license.

Thanks for your reply!! I actually was issued my license about 20 min after making this post. ?

Took my boards with IBON on a Friday, stopped at 75 questions, did the PVT got the good pop up. On Sunday I checked my status on IBON it read “ready issue” Monday license was issued and it changed to “active”. If your status change to “ready issue” congratulations is a positive sign.
