BNS, BSHCM, BA, or BS???

This is lil' long... sorry... I'm stumped!!

A few years ago, began nursing school, knew I wanted to work in ED or become a NP or Nurse Manager. Now I've been a RN for lil' over a year in tele/PCU. My current hospital is actually not too bad, the people overall are very good to work with.

My dilemma is that I am less than impressed w/ floor nursing, actually quite dissappointed. There are many days I dread going to work... my favorite days are when things are really quiey & I have time to talk w/ my fellow co-workers (even working nites, you know that's a rarity).

Not liking floor nursing I decided I'd not go for my BSN, I would go into Management/Administration. I've enrolled in an online accelerated degree program which is scheduled to begin 8/23/05. But seeing all the BS my manager is dealing w/ makes worry if I'll enjoy it. I don't want to spend a bunch of money to further my nursing education, if I don't enjoy the profession.

I was also considering Pharm Rep, but I'm finding that no one position is calling me! I have excellent drive to complete a task/degree/etc, but nothing is jumping out at me.

In addition to my ADN, I have an AAS in Animal Management. I love animals, but the pay is very little, probably less than social worker at times.

Wondering if anyone could give input as to what job opportunities may be available w/ a BSN, BSHCM, BS in Business Adm, or BS in Biology.

I enjoy the sciences & finances (quite the combo. huh?)

Any advice GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!! Thanks:uhoh3:

What about education? In that case an RN to MSN program might fit the bill better. If not, can you shadow people that have positions you are interested in.
