BLS for instructors

Are you asking about nursing instructors teaching nursing classes....or BLS instructors? If you question is in regards to the 2nd option, it is a completely different class/course offered by the American Heart Association. It's also a separate certification. I'm a BLS instructor, and also have to maintain my BLS provider card (same old card everyone else has).

Are there any books available for instructors? I deem that the content will be the same....but i was told i have to specify the imprtant things. I think everything id important.

I need the 2nd one. I need to teach any nurses who would like to become a nurse BLS instructor. Can i find any books online? So that i get an idea what type of course prospect instructors need to have

I'm assuming you want your instructors to be certified through the American Heart Association? If so, there's a pretty specific sequence of events potential instructors go through to get certified. Here's the link to the website...

AHA Instructors

Basically, every instructor *must* have a training center they are associated with. The training center's lead instructor manages the files and certifications for each instructor.

Once the potential instructor has been accepted by a training center, they then take the course. After passing the test, they must be monitored teaching before being able to independently teach.

There's possibly more info on the AHA website if you are curious. It's been years since I originally took the BLS instructor class, but if memory serves me I got the required book for the class from my facility's Health Sciences Library.
