Most facilities aren't really picky about the nursing school you came from, so long as it is accredited. Usually though, your best bet is to chose a school that has a long history (not a new school - cause I've seen nurses come out of them that aren't up to par...)
Where ever you live, if you really want a good recommendation, ask a nurse from your state, or don't be shy! - call the HR department at a hosptial, and ask them if there are local school that they prefer to hire from or any that they avoid. this should give you a good idea!
But usually if a school has been established for 30-40 or more years, odds are that is because they are a good school. Another thing you can do is call the school and ask for their NCLEX-RN pass rates! All schools know these because they get reimbursed more for the higher percentage of 1st time passes!
