Biology courses or Regents

Published

I recently got accepted into New York City College of Technology. I was reading about any pre-reqs that I might need and it says that I could either take biology courses or receive a score of 85 or higher on the biology regents. Regents is the state-required tests that we receive for each subject. The problem and painful situation is that I was two points short of 85 on the bio regents. The debate is whether I should retake the biology regents or take biology courses. I just recently read over the Baron's Regents book to study for the NLN, so I have a great idea of biology right now. My mother says it isn't worth taking the exam again, but I really feel like I could get a good score on it (I was rather clueless when I first took it, haha). So, retake the bio regents or just take a course to score at least C?

(Coming from another New Yorker)...

Retake the Regents.

I'm pretty much in the same situation, although the Regents is the Math B and the college is Le Moyne. If I get a 65 or higher then I won't have to take a basic math course that's pretty much remedial and is 3cr worth of work but you get no credit for.
