Biochemistry and Cell Biology

Published

I am in a Cell Biology/BioChemistry course as a pre-req to A&P. I am also in 3 other classes, while working full-time as a Med Tech/CNA, I also have a 3 y.o and a family so this semester is quite stressful. I keep getting discouraged in biochem, I will at one point completely understand everything and then the next lab day something like ATP and glycolysis pathways and etc. just throws me off, and I don't understand it at all and Im just so discouraged. If I'm struggling during pre-reqs how can I possibly make it through Nursing school whenever/if I ever get accepted. I just want to get in Nursing School so bad, I feel like my life will never be complete if I don't get through this...

The prereq to a and p, and micro should be a general bio course .. it shouldn't be too difficult. If you're having a hard time you need to spend more time on the material and talk to your professor for clarification on what you're confused on. you could also visit the tutoring center if your campus has one. if you study daily and read you should be okay

Good day, a_lynne91:

Does your college have a learning center/tutoring area? If yes, did you seek their help? Have you talked with your professor? Have you looked to see if there are youtube.com videos or books that present the material at a different angle?

Thank you.
