Hi Everyone,
I am finishing up CHM130 at RIO and will be starting BIO156 in the spring. Has anyone had a really good teacher that they can recommend. My chemistry teacher was AWFUL and I'm so worried that I will pick an instructor that will give me the same experience. I am registered for the accelerated course, but after reading a few posts, think I might change that! Anyway, if you had an instructor that you liked, would you mind PMing me the info? I would really appreciate it! Thanks in advance!!!
I just had the final for this course last Friday. It was pretty much a snooze - in and out of the Rio testing center in 45 minutes. I correctly answered 78 out of 80 multiple choice questions, but I left all the essay questions blank. It knocked my grade down to a 91%, but my transcript still says "A" on it, right? Haven't I written enough essays?!?!
However, BIO156 is just high school biology compressed to 2 months instead of 9 months. I am really looking forward to getting into the 200-level biology courses next semester!! I am doing Microbiology and A&P at night at my nearest community college. They should be more challenging. The flaw in doing science classes online is that doing the labs in your kitchen or at your desk at home is not as useful and fun as doing them with other students under the guidance of an instructor.
WOW,
Only if I would have known....I am so stressed at Rio and am unsure if I am even going to pass CHM 138. It is not a pleasant exspierence for me at this point but hoping it'll get better. I have been trying to team up for study session with other students in my area but no luck so far. I am not understanding the material and was wondering if anyone could give me some hints on studying or know of any on-line groups, please let me know!?
Thanks,

If anyone has information about a particular professor that is best at PC for Bio 201, please send me a PM or email. There are three professors to choose from. I just finished BIO 156 at RIO, but the course covered a lot of information in 8 weeks, so I would like to try the online course at PC.
