I just started my spring semester at Tidewater Community college for the BIO 141. I am a little intimidated and I've only been to one class. my professor said that the midterm and final will consist of 200 fill in the blank sentences-no word bank. I don't learn that way ...I am whiting out the diagram words and making copies to try and study that part of it. are there any tips. I really want an A, but I don't even know if I can do this even if I study till the cows come home(or something like that)
My professor wasn't discouraging so to speak, but very 'matter of fact' about the class and if you didn't have strong foundation in biology then your doomed. I don't have a strong foundation, I know medical terminology, well.....the basics at least...is that enough.. I am soooo stressing out...lol...help...
the only other class I am taking is an online psychology class(pretty easy..for now), so I haven't overloaded myself on classes...

If your school offers tutoring, use it.
Also, it might help if you post the title of the class.. BIO141 means nothing.. at my school, there's no such thing. Is it general biology? Anatomy? Microbiology?
whoops....its anatomy and phisiology 1

it all depends on how difficult your professor wants to make this exam. fill in or not... i took a general/entry level chemistry course once and it was the most brutal thing i experienced. over 75% of that class dropped. the professor had a PHD and took herself a little too seriously.
JUST AN UPDATE BECAUSE I HAD TO SHARE:
I just got done taking my midterm and got an 87!! I am happy with that! of course I want an A in this class, but all the stress I have been enduring, I will take that B with pride!! I am going to keep up more with my study to try and pull that A
