Bidmc

Hello fellow BIDMC nurses. I saw a posting on my floor tonight for an informational session from MNA about unionizing. The date is Jan 29th from 4p-9p at the Best Western the Fenway Room. I just started there but the PPC and not being paid for staying after shift and never getting a lunch on days is starting to be of concern.

Just wanted to put the word out. That may not be the solution but it cant hurt to hear what they have to say.

Wow that's interesting! Didn't know anything about it and I work at BIDMC. Are they thinking about unionizing?

There was just a small green flyer posted in our bathroom for 1 shift only. The flyer just listed the above info about where when and indicated that they are there to answer any questions about unionizing. I don't know who put it there and don't know who took it down. I got the impression that it wasn't a widely circulated flyer. I may stop by the information session tomorrow just to hear what they have to say.

Sounds good...hmmm interesting. Post back on how it turned out! I'll be working again tomorrow night so won't be able to go...but let me know how it went and what information they provided. Was it specifically for BIDMC on unionizing?
