Beware the Recruitment Scammer

I just saw this on the Alberta Health Services careers page. It's a good reminder that if it seems too good to be true it probably is.

Recruitment Fraud Warning

This recruitment scam has been going on for years, according to RCMP fraud investigators it originates from outside of Canada and is aimed at nurses in the Philippines. The fraudsters use names of legitimate hospital and healthcare centres that are located in Canada and other countries. The victims are partly to blame since they do not investigate the legitmaticy of the offer before handing over their money.
