Hi!
I was wondering if somebody could give me the quickest route to get to Beth Israel from Penn Station? I know on the subway the #6 will drop me off 4 blocks away which is fine but I would have to go uptown first to get the #6 to come downtown. Does that seem logical or is there a better way?
Thanks

Going to my clinicals at BI I went through Penn Station (coming from the Upper West) and I rode the 2/3 to 14th Street and then did the long transfer to the L and rode that over to 1st Ave (you come out right behind the hospital), if you are going to Employee Health I believe it is on 16th and 2nd. From Penn it should take you about 20 minutes.

Or maybe, instead of taking the 2/3 to 14th st, you can take either the A, C or E train from Penn station to 14th street (@ 8th ave) and then the transfer will be much shorter to the L train. From the L you can get off at Union Square or continue to the 1st Ave stop, depending on where at BI Hospital you need to go.
Wait a minute...
do you mean the hospital or the school?? If it is the school on 6th Ave around 17th street you would go the same route but get off the L at 6th ave....but you probably mean the hospital...

Hi! I meant the hospital. I found a pretty easy way to get there from Penn Station. Get on the #1 and transfer to the L.
Thanks everyone~
