Best way to study for NET or TEAS?

Published

I am looking to take the NET or TEAS very soon and I was wondering what was the best way to study for it. I have a few study books and it's honestly a lot of information. How did everyone manage? How did you study for the exam? How long did you study for (hours in a day, how many months, etc)? What method worked for you?

Any advice would be great. Please and thank you.

Hi there! I took both the TEAS and the NET (I actually took the NET today). I used the study guides that are sold by the actual test administrators in both cases. I studied for the TEAS for one month, and much less for the NET since it was very similar to the TEAS. I would recommend using the study guide books sold by the administrators since I could not find any other "official" study guides. Warning for the NET study guide though: there are a few sections NOT covered in the book such as a short (15 question) Science section, and a test-taking skills section which I thought was really silly.

I did pretty well on both tests scoring between a low 80% to a high 90% on all sections. The tests are not very difficult. You will be fine as long as you know what to expect.

Good luck!!

Thank you for responding. I emailed the Nursing Coordinator at my school and they told me about the science section and I was going to study for that anyway but thanks for confirming that. I've been trying to use all of the study guides that I can get my hands on from the free sites online to books from the library. I've found "Nursing School Entrance Exams" to be very helpful and I bought that from Barnes & Noble.

Thanks again for the response. It was very helpful. :)
