Hi all,

I'm looking for advice on good travel agencies for CTICU nurses. Specifically, one with good (reliable/honest) recruiters and well-paid positions on the west coast or down south (Texas, New Mexico, Arizona). Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Hello Jleb886,

Recruiter here, not trying to promote my company so i'll provide general information that can hopefully assist you in finding the perfect recruiter and agency for you.

1) A majority of agencies will have the same contracts, but they don't all work on the same margins. Some companies will be able to pay you more or less money based on what % they take out of your contract. If you are looking for the most money the first question I would ask is what % margins the agency works off of.

2) Finding a reliable and honest recruiter is just going to take time and making sure that you are asking the right questions. There will be good and bad recruiter within the same company so you may have to shop around to find the individual that works with you the best.

3) I would check out "Traveler Talk" on facebook and the Gypsy Nurse website, both of these locations have a great amount of resources for travel nurses and many recruiters/nurses are willing to be more vocal on what they think the "best" agencies are. I personally believe every agency/recruiter has different things to offer and certain things that you'll have to accept, but you should make sure you find one that fits you and will help you be successful in your adventures. Best wishes and good luck!
